- Open a site. From your list of sites, open the one you want to work on. Its workspace opens, with the chat in
the middle.
- Say what you want. Type it the way you would ask a colleague. Be as specific as you like; Buddy asks when it
needs to know more. You can also speak: press the microphone beside Send (or Ctrl+Shift+D, Cmd+Shift+D on a Mac).
- Watch it work. While Buddy works, the chat shows what it is doing: the files it reads, the commands it runs,
the pages it checks. The bar above the message box lists its working steps (Tasks) and the files it has changed
(Files).
- Check the result. Buddy tells you what it did and how to see it. Your site’s preview address shows the change
right away (see previewing and sharing a site).
- Pick a mode when it matters. Auto lets Buddy decide how to approach your request. Choose Chat, Analyze or Plan
when you want answers or a plan and no changes. See chat and modes.
- Stop it any time. The Stop button ends Buddy’s current work. What it already changed stays changed; a
checkpoint takes it back if you need to.
- Come back later. Every conversation is kept. Open Conversations in the workspace to pick one up where you
left off.
