Previewing and sharing a site

Every site in Site Buddy has a preview address, where you see Buddy’s changes the moment they are made.

Who can open it

The preview is locked, so search engines and strangers never see work in progress.

• You and your team go straight in, as long as you are signed in to Site Buddy and have access to the site.
• Anyone else sees a short sign-in page asking for their email address. If that address belongs to someone allowed to view the site, a one-time code is emailed to them; entering it opens the site in that browser.

Letting someone else view it

To share the preview with a client or colleague who does not use Site Buddy, open the site’s settings, go to Access, and add their email address under Viewers by email. They sign in with a code the first time and can then browse the preview for a while before being asked again.

To let a teammate work on the site with Buddy, not just view it, add them under Shared with on the same tab. Owners and admins need no sharing.
