Scheduled tasks

A scheduled task is something Buddy does on its own, on a schedule: checking the site for broken links every Monday, summarizing last week’s analytics, keeping plugins up to date.

Setting one up

Ask for it in the chat, the way you would ask a person: “Every Monday morning, check the site for broken links and email me what you find.” Buddy proposes a task: what it will do and when. Nothing runs until you say yes.

Proposals waiting for your answer show in the Scheduled tasks pane, marked “proposed by Buddy, waiting for your yes”.

Following the runs

Open a task in the Scheduled tasks pane to see what it does, when it runs next, and how every run went. Each run is a conversation of its own, so you can read exactly what Buddy did and pick it up from there.
